Rare Commemorative Frederick the Great Tobacco Box. A fine and rare Frederick the Great tobacco box commemorating his victory at Rossbach in the Seven Years War (1756-1763) against the French and Austrians on Nov. 5, 1759. Reverse depicts the victory of the English Admiral Osbourne over the French Admiral Duquense at the Battle of Cartagena. Medallions are those of Frederick and Prince Henry of Prussia. Box marked by maker Giese of Iserlohn.
