The first exhibition to explore Picasso’s recurrent focus on black, white and gray motifs, Picasso Black and White will be on view at the Guggenheim, Oct. 5, 2012 – Jan. 23, 2012. Picasso is often examined through the lens of his bold experimentation in varied styles and subjects such as his Blue and Rose periods but his work in monochrome is often overlooked.
