A fine and rare Chinese export Yongzheng creamer and lid depicting a strolling man and woman, generally referred to as governor Duff and his wife. He, the Dutch governor, general of Batavia from 1729-31, nut more likely wealthy Dutch Friesian merchant and wife. c. 1730 illus. “The Choice of the Private Trader,” by David Howard. Small crack at handle base. Invisibly restored.
