Collectors should be sure not to miss Discovery Day, held on Sunday, the last day of the Fair, when attendees are allowed to bring five items for a rare chance to discuss their finds with the top experts in the antiquarian book trade. Exhibitors will offer informal appraisals, discuss authenticity and condition of the manuscripts. Past Discovery Days have yielded some incredible finds: “including part of a Shakespeare second folio of Richard III, and a first edition of the classic Beat novel, On the Road…valued at $5000-$7000.” With the antiquarian book trade still buzzing over last year’s bonanza discovery of a potential original Shakespeare’s dictionary, discovery excitement is at all-time high in the book world;  it’s a good time to be a book lover! Contact Manhattan Rare Book Co. HERE if you’re searching for a particular work in advance of the Fair.
