Art to See and Buy: Pop Art Women by Roy Lichtenstein

As today is International Museum Day, it seems like a good time to appreciate living in a city so filled with iconic art that you can’t walk several blocks without running into a masterpiece at one of our museums. With 100 galleries, The Manhattan Art & Antiques Center often feels like a museum of its own, except here, the art is for sale. In our new series, Art to See and Buy, we profile the best art exhibitions in NYC and related works from our dealers at The MAAC, starting with Roy Lichenstein’s pop art women.

It’s the final week of the Morgan Library & Museum’s pivotal exhibition “Embracing Modernism: Ten Years of Drawing Acquisitions” (February 13 – May 25). In the past decade, The Morgan has diversified its astounding collection of old master drawings with hundreds of exceptional works by modern and contemporary icons, including several of Roy Lichenstein’s essential contributions to Pop Art, featuring his signature brightly colored comic book panel style works.
