Set of William Gould Cast Sterling Silver Candlesticks George II
An extremely good set of four cast silver George II candlesticks. Marked to the underside for London 1749 by William Gould. William Gould was a specialist candlestick maker and these are a wonderful example of his highly skilled silversmithing. The bases are engraved with a crest of a raised fist holding a five-pointed star. The underside of each stick also carries the original scratch weight.
