Rectangular shaped two-handled casket decorated and assembled by Feuillet or Sèvres Porcelain manufactures. Rare and unusual 18K gold, enamel and shell jewelry box of French origin, circa 19th century. It is very ornate, with depictions of scenery, farm animals, a boy playing a flute on the bottom, and a picnic at the very top. Detail is excellent and enamel is in good shape throughout. Edwardian sterling silver playing cards box. Made by Grey & Co. in London in 1902. Rectilinear with corner supports. Each side is faced with antique card “royalty” (1 king, 2 queens, and 1 jack), and has beveled glass. Cover hinged with scrolled tab, and library red lining on interior. A beautiful 19th century gilt bronze mounted sevres jewel box and cover with multi-panel scenes. Of cartouche shape, the top painted with two maidens reclining in a garden attended by Cupid, two musicians and the Commedia dell’Arte figure Pierrot pouring wine, all within an elaborate gilt scroll and rocaille shell surround, the sides with landscapes within similar surrounds as well as a beautiful lovers scene, the interior contains the original silk cushioning. Found throughout the box is intricately hand painted, raised 24-karat gold decoration. Signed on the main panel with the artist’s signature.
