Russian Ormolu and Amethyst Glass Swan Centerpiece (Imperial Russian Glass). – A Russian ormolu and cut Amethyst glass centerpiece with three bronze swans attributed to the Russian Imperial glass manufactory, Moscow, mid-late 1800s. The removable cut Amethyst glass bowl sits on an ormolu sculpture of three swans, very finely hand chiseled with core bronze gilding. Pair of Chinese Cloisonné and French Barbedienne Bronze-Mounted Vases – A fabulous pair of antique Chinese “Famille Noir” cloisonné and French ormolu-mounted vases/planters/cashepots with dragon feet attributed to F. Barbedienne. The Chinese cloisonné vases lobed in eight panels, each panel decorated with floral motifs and butterflies on a black cloisonné background, further enhanced with double cloisonné dragon handles and raised on original French doré bronze filigree bases with four dragon heads. The ormolu bases are made by the French Modeller and Bronzier F. Barbedienne. (Ferdinand Barbedienne, 1810 – 1892, was a French metalworker and manufacturer, who was well known as a bronze founder. He has mounted as special commissions many important Chinese porcelain, bronze and cloisonné items, mid-1800s, China.)
